Darlene has worked as a licensed Realtor® since 2006 and is currently licensed as an Associate Broker/Manager. A perennial top producer, Darlene has been in the top 5% of MLS® sales every year since 2011.
Darlene's success is based on several key factors:
1. Knowledge. You want someone familiar with every aspect of real estate, from home construction and permits, to contracts and market trends. You want access to a walking, talking real estate encyclopedia. This profession is Darlene’s passion, and she has made it her mission to be exactly that and she can put her knowledge to work for YOU.
2. Drive. Darlene built her business from the ground up on her own, starting at a time when the market was slowing rapidly. She paid her dues, putting in the time and effort to help her first few clients. Thankfully, they were pretty happy with Darlene’s services and they started referring their friends and family to her. From there, her business grew so much, based only on referrals, that she started her own brokerage; a brokerage that saw successful growth year after year even with all the ups and downs in the market.
3. Experience. Starting from a single client, by 2011 Darlene had achieved a ranking in the Top 5% of MLS® sales. She has been in the Top 5% every year since, and that is on her own (no team). She helps more clients in one year than many associates will do in their entire careers. Put another way, it would take an average real estate associate almost 80 years to reach the level of experience that Darlene was able to reach in less than 10. That kind of experience is an incomparable benefit to her clients; that level of “been there, done that” experience can be critical when it comes to handling difficult situations and negotiating to get the best deal.
4. Attitude. As they say, attitude is everything. Darlene got into real estate because of a series of bad experiences as a real estate client. Her motivation stems from a desire to give her clients the kind of service she wanted for herself. In other words, Darlene’s motivation is not her success – it’s yours.
Darlene loves volunteering in her community, as well as with the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton. She was elected to Member Services Committee by her peers for two terms, and in 2021 she was elected to serve on the RAE Board of Directors. Currently, she is the Chair-Elect for the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton and will serve as Chair in 2024.
